Gypsy

Now
In the eternity
Of a moment
Sounds a song
In the sacred chamber
Of your ancient wanderer heart
That trudges the starry shores
Of endless oceans
Beating in timeless rhythms
Echoing ancient eulogies
To the One in the Sun,
Shine on Lion Heart.

Intuition

It comes prowling
like a smiling tiger
my soul, searching
the dark forest
of my monkey mind,
yellow eyes ablaze
free with feline
elegance and poise
will she pounce
upon her prey,
my mind,
when all noise
has ceased.
Then she will devour
in striped flight
and I be at-oned
with day and night.

Agni Angels of Ajna

Seven times shall ye plough
the fire in the furrow
upon the brow, browned
by a blazing Sun so blue,
within a
centrifugal core of calm.
Forty-eight seeds sown twice
by a frugal lore
of the husbandman
yields a harvest of rice
around the two-petal flower
seer of the soul, eye of power.

The Beckoning

Be my life, I breathe you in
I love through all forms
You are my life
Sing with me, my hearts
Hear my song my larks
Flutter through my veins
Tend my ancient vines
Drink the harvest down
The fruits of labours won.

Earth and Sea

Immovable
Hand of land
Thrusts his fist
Into her ocean...
Waves in motion
Wrap their perfect forms
Along his rocky knuckles
Dying, disintegrating
Yielding their lives
That marched
The miles of Mara...
These soldiering sons
Of crashing foam
And salty laughter.

Avalon Australia

I am the soul of all things
I am the grace
Of a gently curving trunk
Smoothly pale and fine
I am a pink dusky sky
Pierced
By a golden scimitar
Cloud, pointing
To colossi banks
Sailing round the horizon
Smitten in pink and gold
Toward destinations
Infinitely defined.
I am the evening breeze
Carrying
The dying sounds of day
To the waking calls of night
Down to mother sea
Who ebbs all to her heart...
Dissolving our earthly pain
In the outgoing tide
Flowing back
To her six other Sisters.

Dawn

Warm is the dancing
Dawn, touching down
Upon our earthly sphere
As chilly shadows
Retreat
Amongst the moving
Morning mists
Agni burns brightly
Banishing night.

Mother Mara

southerly blusters
the wide salty wild
whipping an army
of heaving humps
from the vast black deep...
pumping their lives
crashing
thrashing
lemming-like
under craggy cliffs...
long suffering stalwarts they,
stonily indifferent
as flinging foams spray,
toss and splatter
in final moments gay...
gold-blue mist shrouds
dancing in day's dazzle,
bold hues kissed proud
by sun's smiling frazzle
before dissolving, dying
dissipated...
boiling white water
racing over rocky ramparts
tracking this way, swaying that
like a flexing fluid muscle
wrapping round the bone and fat...
And in cold grottos under,
incessant tides
suck and thwock and chunder
their strange sounds
in countless cracks
and mysterious holes...
while in the crackling
submarine silent din
the matted locks
of boisterous kelp
flap and slap about,
molluscs squirt, fish flirt
lobsters shuttle,
crab scuttle,
mischievous,
calliper claws
devious,
between land and sea...
while overhead, Albatross
mediates with airy grace
twixt earth and water...
as the fiery One, the Sun
glares down upon
His youngest daughter.

Himalayan Memories

Roaring river
Rage and dash
Mountainside aged
splashed
Plunging steep
Knife-like through
Shrouding mystery mists,
Falling into hidden
Valleys, sunlit kissed
Clothed in green
Scented giant pines
Sit in cuddled clans
Threading the silky sound
Of the whistling breeze
Through their needles fine.

Mother Africa

lions wander
in the gentle rain
brushing
through the wet savannah
soaked coats steaming
in the pungent silence
of a grey African dawn...
thunder drums around
horizons, while denizens
awaken from shadows deep
gazelle pauses nervous
elephant listens, impervious
vultures strip their carcass...
and the Creator strums and hums
from Earth's core
rhythms raw...
while wild beauty
in coloured camouflage
dances in delight
merging all the patterns
between day and night.
